Intep provided consulting in three key areas of the project. First, we took an inventory of how services are being delivered in UMP’s prior facilities with an eye on optimization potential and the integration of our discoveries into the design and planning for the new building. Our findings were outlined in an owner project requirements document, which was used during design and planning of the project.
Second, we provided ongoing life cycle cost analysis of various design iterations and value engineering proposals to enable the Client to make informed decisions on the true cost impact of their decision making, and to illustrate cost optimization opportunities.
Last but not least, we created a facilities management strategy for integration into project design, which also served as the basis for the Client’s planning process for the operation of the building and delivery of their services.
In sum, our efforts provided the Client with measures that netted a $1.4 Million annuitized annual reduction in operating cost.
